Major Chhavi Sharma brings 12 years of distinguished service in the Indian Army to Sky Mentors Academy. An alumna of the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, she has led teams through demanding environments where clarity of thought and decision-making under pressure were absolute requirements.
Service and command experience
Her years in uniform built a foundation of elite discipline and operational grit that most ground schools simply cannot teach from a textbook. At the academy she translates that military precision into aviation, focusing on the non-technical competencies that separate a licence holder from an airline-ready pilot.
Approach to mentorship
Her mentorship goes beyond textbooks and checklists. By drawing on the leadership and communication standards she held her own teams to, she has built a legacy of mentorship spanning aviation aspirants, CPL holders, airline first officers and even other aviation ground schools.
The goal is simple: to give every cadet the composure, confidence and command presence required to navigate high-pressure airline assessments.
What she sets at the academy
Every instructor at Sky Mentors is trained under her command through our Train the Trainer programme, which is how teaching stays consistent and airline-oriented no matter who takes your class. She also runs the mock selection boards, CRM and human factors training, and group discussion and interview preparation that cadets go through before facing a real airline panel.
